EXAMPLE — this shows how the cooperative would look when running. It is not running yet. You can register as an applicant or guest — that is not membership and not an offer.

The Looking Glass Cooperative

Most media shows you their world. This one reflects your questions.

Turn the glass around. You don’t receive a worldview — you bring a question, and it comes back clarified, sourced, seen from more than one side.

„Klassische Medien zeigen dir ihr Bild der Welt. Wir drehen den Spiegel um — Looking Glass spiegelt deine Fragen zurück. Die Mitglieder besitzen das Medium und ihre eigenen Daten.“

The inversion

Classic media is a window someone else paints. Looking Glass is a mirror.

An editor decides what the world looks like and broadcasts it at you — your attention is the product, your data is sold. We turn the glass around: the medium answers to your inquiry, not to an editorial line or an ad auction.

Classic media
  • Decides the topics for you
  • Broadcasts one worldview
  • Your attention is the product
  • Funded by ads & your data
  • You are the reader they sell
Looking Glass
  • You bring the question
  • Reflects many sides back to you
  • Your understanding is the point
  • Funded by its members
  • You own the medium & your data
How it would work

Ask. Reflect. Keep.

A mirror, not an oracle — it surfaces what is known and hands it back as material to think with. You decide.

1

You ask

A real question you actually have — about an event, a claim, a decision, a topic.

2

It reflects

The system gathers what is known — sources, evidence, the strongest case on each side — and hands it back. It surfaces; it does not rule.

3

You keep it

Your questions and your trail of inquiry are yours — stored for you, owned by you, never sold, never used to target you.

Authors. Owners. Members.

The people who write it own it — and are it.

The Looking Glass Cooperative is its members — soli.coop, writing and governing its own medium. Its authors, its owners and its members are the same people. That is what makes the inversion real.

Authored & owned

One member, one vote

Members write the medium and own it — its direction, its rules, its surplus — instead of shareholders or advertisers. The authors are the owners; no outside owner sets the line.

Data ownership

Your data stays yours

Your questions and history belong to you, not to an ad platform. This is structural, not a setting: a medium funded by its members has no reason to extract from its own owners.

A cooperative started by soli.coop, running on the Unicate system. To join the Looking Glass Cooperative you first become a member of soli.coop — membership runs through the cooperative.
The assistant
“A mirror, not an oracle.”

The system reflects and investigates neutrally — it presents perspectives and evidence and lets you navigate. It does not push a line, does not claim certainty it lacks, and makes no promises it can’t keep.

Stay connected

Register as an applicant or a guest

The Looking Glass Cooperative is not running yet — this page is an example. Full membership would run through soli.coop. For now you can simply leave your details so we can stay in touch. Choose how:

ApplicantYou’d like to be considered to take part if and when the cooperative actually forms. This is not membership and places you under no obligation.
GuestYou just want to follow along and be kept informed. Nothing more.
This is not an offer of investment or securities. Registering as an applicant or guest is not membership and not a financial product — it only lets us keep you informed. If a cooperative is ever formed, the structure would be confirmed with qualified legal counsel first.
Thank you — you’re on the list. We’ll keep you informed; there’s nothing else you need to do.
Sorry, that didn’t go through. Please try again in a moment.
